Where Their Wings Take Them: StoryBird

I created this for my class to show them a way to creatively share their observations of birds. Before showing the story, I would issue them the assignment of observing birds and reporting on what they see. I would then show them this example as a way of reporting. I would also accept one of the following: a handmade story, a written report with 2 visuals,  a blog with 2 visuals, an informational video posted to youtube, or an informational poster with 2-6 visuals.

*Core standards addressed:
4th grade Science: Standard 5: Objective 4a. Observe and record the behavior of birds (e.g., caring for young, obtaining food, surviving winter). 
Ed. Tech. Standard 5: Use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom. (3, 4)
